GUNN Fine Arts Junior High is a two-story campus built around music, art, and performance spaces — each with its own climate and ventilation demands — and ATMAC Mechanical handled the HVAC demolition and replacement for the entire building.

The scope was extensive: 67 rooftop units ranging from 20 to 30 tons, a dedicated makeup air unit, 5 VRF systems, 12 split systems, and 41 exhaust fans, plus specialty equipment for the kitchen (4 exhaust fans, 4 makeup units) and science labs (7 fume fans, 4 hoods).

The project totaled $5.3 million and was completed in December 2020, delivering a fully modernized HVAC system across every wing of the building.
