Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial HVAC Mechanical Project Manager to lead the financial and administrative aspects of HVAC construction projects. This role is equal in authority and responsibility to the General Superintendent, who oversees field labor and manpower. Together, you will collaborate to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all financial aspects of HVAC construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with the General Superintendent to align labor hours and manpower with project goals.
  • Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure project alignment.
  • Oversee submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Support procurement and delivery of HVAC equipment and materials.
  • Participate in project meetings and maintain strong client relationships.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC project management, with a focus on air and water side systems.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC mechanical systems, including ductwork, AHUs, VAVs, chilled/hot water piping, pumps, and coils.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore), Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
