New Piping, Boilers and HVAC

Replacing the HVAC systems and bringing the plumbing up to current standards for a 70-year old historic building presents a whole range of challenges. Add to it, partial occupancy and serving as a medical teaching facility and you’ve got some serious planning to do.

In 1924 everything was smaller, including elevators and ceiling space. Installation of three 200-ton chillers meant cutting into concrete, taking apart new equipment and putting it back together, and finding innovative solutions to fit all new plumbing and electrical into small spaces, while figuring out how to install new med-gas piping and code-approved fire protection systems. Did we mention the building is occupied and needed to remain online 24/7?

Done. Doing it right on a tight schedule and restrictive budget is all in a day’s work.
