Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Supervision and Leadership
  2. Oversee and manage a team of HVAC installers, ensuring high-quality work, adherence to schedules, and budget compliance.
  3. Foster a culture of safety, ensuring all team members follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  4. Provide mentorship and training to apprentices, journeymen, and lead installers, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.
  5. Project Management
  6. Plan and coordinate HVAC installation projects, including municipal buildings, schools, clinics, data centers, offices, and warehouses.
  7. Maintain clear and effective communication with general contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and timely completion.
  8. Order, receive, verify, and organize HVAC materials and equipment, ensuring all resources are available when needed.
  9. Quality Assurance
  10. Perform quality checks on installations to ensure they meet industry standards and project specifications.
  11. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the installation process, ensuring the final product meets client expectations.
  12. Documentation and Reporting
  13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including time records, material orders, and safety reports.
  14. Submit daily and pre-task reports using software tools such as Site Docs and ExakTime.

Skills and Experience 

  1. Technical Expertise
  2. 10+ years of experience in installing commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including RTUs, VRF systems, VAVs, AHUs, louvers, split systems, and chilled water systems.
  3. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical manuals.
  4. Leadership and Team Management
  5. Proven ability to manage and lead crews of up to 20+ workers, setting the pace for the project and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions clearly and effectively to team members.
  7. Software Proficiency
  8. Familiarity with project management and documentation software, including Revu Bluebeam Studio, ExakTime, and Site Docs.
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  10. Equipment Operation
  11. Competent in the use of telehandlers, aerial platforms, boom lifts, ladders, and fall protection devices.

  2. Maintain a neat and professional appearance, representing the company positively on job sites.
  3. Demonstrate a strong work ethic, ensuring tasks are completed correctly and efficiently the first time.
  4. Physical Requirements
  5. Ability to lift upto 50 pounds and maneuver heavier items with assistance.
  6. Comfortable working from heights and in confined spaces.
  7. Compliance and Safety
  8. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  9. Ability to pass required drug tests.
  10. Adherence to all company procedures and safety rules.
