Bob and Lola Sanford Elementary School

Van Alstyne ISD launched construction of its second elementary school named Bob and Lola Sanford Elementary School on August 10, 2017. This two-story, 80,000-square-foot school was designed to house pre-K and first grades on the first floor and grades two through five on the second floor.

A unique element to this project for ATMAC and its HVAC services was the full gymnasium built to serve as the school’s storm shelter. ATMAC worked with project engineers on a special housing FEMA grills. Space was also designated for after-school community activities and ATMAC provided HVAC and plumbing for a standard elementary school cafeteria and library.

Little Elm Fire Station 3

ATMAC provided HVAC installation services for the new construction of a 13,000-square-foot fire station in Little Elm, Texas. Construction began in February 2017 for the building that would provide fire and EMS services to a growing population along 380, the northern part of FM 423, and other parts of Denton County. The new fire station was designed to sleep up to nine fire and EMS employees and store up to five fire trucks and EMS vehicles.

Sam Houston High Scool

ATMAC was tasked with installing new HVAC and plumbing systems to the existing Sam Houston High School while classes remained in session. This required ATMAC to schedule jobs to be completed in phases, either when the school was closed (in the evenings and on weekends) or in cornered-off areas with a focus on avoiding disruption to existing HVAC and plumbing systems. ATMAC coordinated HVAC and plumbing work with Pogue Construction to best accommodate the school district’s needs.

Wylie Independent School District

Wylie Independent School District is located in southern Collin County just 24 miles northeast of the Dallas metroplex. This fast-growing school system is well over a century old and contains 20 campuses and serves more than 14,500 students. ATMAC Mechanical has contributed to the critical renovation and expansion efforts needed to help the school system thrive.

Grand Prairie Fire Station 10

The city of Grand Prairie has opened Fire Station No. 10 to serve neighborhoods in the Joe Pool Lake area. The 12,332-square-foot station contains four drive-through apparatus bays, eight dorm rooms, officer’s quarters, a day room, a commercial kitchen, and a workshop. It also has a safe room designed to withstand a category 4/5 storm. Building aesthetics play off of the nearby marine setting by featuring a nautical motif, with clapboard siding, mooring rope chains, and even a working lighthouse feature.

Church of the Incarnation

From the beginning, the administration at Church of the Incarnation wanted new additions to feel as familiar as the current building. The gothic architecture and attention to finish details succeed in blending the old with the new. The new facility includes a three hundred seat chapel, a three-story education wing, and a large, gathering space with a new front entry.

ATMAC installed the complete plumbing system in the 60,000 sq ft expansion, including sewer and plumbing fixtures for restrooms and several small kitchens.

Denton County Precinct 3 Government Center

Denton County offices have room to grow in the new 42,000 square-foot facility where residents can conveniently access county services. Offices for County Clerk, Tax Office, Constable, Justice of the Peace, Community Supervision and Corrections, Veterans Services, Department of Public Safety, and Precinct 3 County Commissioner are included in the space. The building features a grand front porch wrapped in cast stone and arched windows along a colonnade.

Wylie ISD: Culinary Kitchen

Wylie High School’s new 7,000 sq ft culinary arts wing includes a state-of-the-art kitchen and “The 544,” a student-run restaurant. Both facilities are new additions to the 18-year-old campus, part of Wylie Independent School District, and are products of a district-wide improvement plan funded by a local 2014 bond package. These innovative learning spaces are designed to complement each other and provide flexible training areas where students can practice and perfect their culinary skills.

Oak Point Park Nature & Retreat Center

The Oak Point Park Nature & Retreat Center had been on the books for nearly a decade. Expectations were high for a stunning facility and ATMAC Mechanical delivered.

The $5.5 million project located at Oak Point Park in Plano includes a visitor’s center, nature center, multi-use event rooms and office space for city staff. A commercial grade kitchen is also available for catered events. ATMAC constructed the plumbing lines and added the plumbing fixtures used in the 20,000 square foot facility. ATMAC technicians also added the 12-ton heating and ventilation system.
